Non-Preppers and MAGs:

In times of need, people that did not prep will see the obvious benefits of joining together as MAGs (Mutual Assistance Groups) to help each other out, what other choice do they have?

As someone who has prepared, you will need to be very careful about who you let into your MAG though, as they may decide that your Preps are worth more than your potential assistance.

Even if you do trust them with your life (which you will be doing by letting them know you have prepared) they still need to have a skill or something to add to the group or they are just dead weight and a mouth to feed.

It’s the old “lifeboat” scenario and one that everyone should have an answer for BEFORE the need to make a decision.

How many can you bring into the lifeboat before it capsizes and you all die?”

Eventually you will need to push someone away or sign your death warrant.  Hard truth, but avoiding the question until it requires an answer is not a plan, start thinking it through now.

People that have no preps will be desperate and if you have not been paying attention for the last 20+ years, society has little moral character left on which I am willing to bet my families life on in normal times, let alone post SHTF.

That’s why it’s soooo important to know your neighbors NOW and see if their character in good times is worth being around because it’s won’t improve when times get tough.

Something to think about.
